A general introduction to the cultural, social, political, ethical, and psychological dimensions of health and environmental issues affecting the African and African Diaspora peoples globally, and the policy implications. Section information text: This hybrid course (combining in-person and online instruction) explores the intersection of race, ethnicity, health, and the environment, with a focus on sustainability and the disproportionate health challenges facing African Americans and other minority populations in the United States. Students engage in experiential learning while examining ethical considerations, bias, and equity in the use of AI to address health disparities.
