ARTE 2100: Artists as Teachers

An introduction to the role of the visual arts in learning and teaching in a variety of settings. �Individual studio practices are translated into teaching expertise to develop and create meaningful, engaged, and relevant curriculum.� Experiences in using visual arts to transform individuals and communities are incorporated.� A clinical experience of a minimum of 10 hours at an assigned school is required.� A minimum grade of B or above in this course is required for admittance to the Major in Art with a Concentration in Art Education.
