Exploration of the role of visual arts in the holistic development of children.� Provides models for meaningful integrating content and skills in the visual arts with academic subjects. �The course is designed to inform Elementary Education majors about the fundamentals of aesthetics, art making, and art pedagogy. �Students experiment with various studio materials and methods used to teach diverse learners in the elementary classroom.� Four contact hours.
