Prerequisites: Chem 235/L, Bio 281 and FCS 207: passing grade of C or better in each. The role of macronutrients, carbohydrate, lypid and protein in human health, including digestion, absorption, metabolism, major biological, physiological and metabolic roles. Emphasis is place on interactions and interrelationships of the nutrient at the organism and cellular levels.
