FCS 321L: CONTP FOODS/NUTR LAB

Prerequisite: FCS 207 or HSCI 337. Corequisite: FCS 321. Examination of contemporary issues in food and nutrition. Analysis, discussion and evaluation of the socioeconomic, political, environmental, ethical and cultural factors that shape food and nutrition systems and behavior across individuals, groups, and nations. Software are used to evaluate the nutritional value and economic viability of meal plans and food systems. Two hours of lecture and one 3-hour of lab activity required per week.
