Introduces students to key concepts, methods, and debates in Hispanic Studi es, with a focus on literature, media, cultural production, and historical contexts from Spain, Latin America, and U.S. Latinx communities. Students l earn to analyze texts and cultural artifacts using interdisciplinary approa ches, including cultural studies, history, and critical theory. The course provides a foundation for upper-division coursework and strengthens analyti cal, writing, and research skills in Spanish. Taught in Spanish.
