Looks at the situation of speakers of majority and minority languages and t heir linguistic rights in different contexts and countries. Specifically, t he course looks at the situation of Spanish speakers in the US, but also in Mexico and Spain. Other topics in the course are linguistic profiling, for ensic linguistics, and legal translation/interpreting.
