EDCI 8180: Crit Iss & Persp in Urban Educ

An introduction to current contemporary issues in urban education. Topics include the influence of social, economic and geographical factors as they intersect with various national, state and local education policies. Topics will be examined from various perspectives of key stakeholders with a focus on school improvement. This is an intensive reading and writing course that also requires participation in school and/or community activities to better understand the urban environment.� Section information text: Authorization is required.
