ENGL 3103: Children's Literature

Critical study of various genres of children's literature, such as realistic fiction, fantasy, and picture books. Section information text: Students in this course will read several classics in children’s literature as well as a number of contemporary children’s books. Among the topics that will be covered during lectures are the history of children’s literature, major genres in children’s literature, and the censorship of controversial children’s books. This course will be taught in lecture format and is not restricted to English and Education majors.
